Water slide and balloon fun with Slow-motion video

Today was scorching hot so me and a couple friends decided to get wet! Then, I had the greatest idea in the world! I decided to put a kiddie pool under our slides and we would slide down the slides into the refreshing water! Okay, so how would we get the kiddie pool full with air? We were using a balloon pump and it took 10 minutes to fill a tiny bit of one of the 3 tubes! Then, the pump broke!!!! We tried to ask the parents to bring a vacuum with reverse so we could fill the pool with air, but they refused and most of the parents didn't have reverse on their vacuum cleaners! We sat and thought for a while, then we tried to use a bike pump, which didn't work.  We waited and waited to see if any of us would think of something. Then, I picked up the pool and blew into it! In 30 seconds the whole pool was full and we were ready to go! We hooked up one end of a hose to a hidden faucet in the laundry room and we put the other end in the pool. While we were waiting for the pool to get filled, we decided to try to play around with normal balloons filled with water (so they are harder to pop). The video is some slow-motion clips put together.

Sleep :D

Sleep can be a beautiful thing or torture. How could one subject have such huge differences?!?! First of all, temperature. If it's too hot it's IMPOSSIBLE to sleep! If it's cold it's okay because I can just use a blanket, but I always move around in my sleep and I wakeup shivering to death with my blanket on the other side of my bed! Another thing that matters is your bedding (blankets, sheets, pillows, etc.) Dreams matter too! I do not like nightmares!! Who does? I guess people who love horror movies love nightmares. But I love horror movies and I hate nightmares. I guess I hate nightmares because it is like real life and all the bad stuff happens to ME! Lastly, if I wake up in the night it bugs me sooo bad!!!

Let's talk about good sleep (in my opinion).

1. You get comfortable in bed while the air has a tint of coldness so its refreshing but not too hot or cold.
2. The bed is set up and the matress is nice and soft while the pillow makes your head slightly sink in as the soft, thin, blankets rest on your skin.
3. You read, play your phone, hug your stuffy, say your prayers, etc. Then you close your eyes and drift into sleep.
4. You see black then you open your eyes and it is 10 in the morning. You have a yawn, stretch your arms, slip on a robe, and head downstairs to eat waffles, bacon, fruitpunch, and korean pancakes.

That was my dream sleep. I wish it was like that. Especially the food (I know it's really random. It just seems really yummy.) Now it's time to deal with reality. This is what sleep is really like for me:

1. My bed is a mess and my clothes and other belongings are piled on it. I push everything off. (Atleast I thought I did so)
2. I lay down and grab the blanket which is super thick and quite rough. The temperature is really hot so I take off my blanket but there is an unsetteling feeling so I pull it back on. Again it is too hot so I stick one leg out. Then I get scared that something is going to grab my leg and pull me away so I put my blanket back on. Im burning hot so I open all the windows but there is no breeze so there is no difference in temperature. I lay there under my blanket, my head beaded with sweat as I squirm around trying to get comfortable. I feel a stabbing pain in my foot and I realize I stabbed my foot with a pencil that didn't get pushed off my bed when I was pushing "everything" off my bed. I hear a little squishy sound then the smell hits me! I realize it is my lil sis on the top bunk (yes, we share a room) and it was a wet fart. I cover my nose with my blanket but it gets too stuffy inside so I take it off. I lay there clueless of what to do. Then I stay awake trying to force myself to sleep and it eventually works at 2am.
3. I have a dream that the 101 dalmations lady chases my family then stabs my little sister with her long purple claws that are coated poison. I open my eyes and it's only been half an hour so its 2:30am.
4.I eventually almost fall asleep until I realize I have a bleeding nose (I get bleeding noses in summer because its so hot and in winter because its so dry.)  I dash to the washroom and use toilet paper to soak up the blood. Then I sit on the edge of the bathtub pinching my nose and holding the toilet paper to it.
5. The bleeding stops and I head back to bed. I close my eyes and try to sleep and I finally go to sleep (with a nightmare of a needlefish chasing me).
6. I wake up and I am late for summer school. I slip on the first clothes I can find, grab my hair brush and stuff it in my backpack, and jump into our car. I brush my hair on my way to summer school and I forgot to wear socks, so I have to wear sneakers without socks (bleh) and I forgot to eat breakfast, pack a lunch, and brush my teeth. My dad drops me off and my stomach is so empty, it hurts!

So, that's how it is for me daily during summer! Yay me! What an awesome routine!

Canadian stereotypes

We only drink beer
I do not drink, obviously because I am a kid and my family just doesn't drink, but Canadians drink (as in liquor) everything a normal American would drink. Even if there are different brands it's still the same type of drinks.

We say "eh" a lot
I never said eh in my life. It's probably just in one part of Canada. Anyway Americans say huh and Australians say aye.

We live on a diet of back bacon and maple syrup
I love bacon, but I barely eat it, and I don't even like maple syrup.

We only love the sport of hockey

Read my first post. The only sport I mentioned was swimming. I love skateboarding, skiing, skating, baseball, basketball, soccer, football, everything in track and field, and billions more!

Our favourite fashion accessory is the toque

Toques are cute but I like beanies better :3 We like a lot of other fashion accessories. My favourite is probably infinity scarves because there are just awesome!

It's wintertime 11 months of the year

Where I live, it is winter for 2 weeks and most of the time it only snows about 3 to 4 days a year.

We are really polite

That is good and we are just really friendly to people who are friendly to us, but if anyone brings this stereotype up in any conversation we'll just say "SHUTUP!!!"

We say "aboot"
I don't.

We live amongst the polar bears
Never saw one in my life and we Canadians are obviously scared of these human-eating beasts. I do think they are beautiful, and the cubs are adorable, but any smart person would stay away from them.

We all know each other

Besides at school and in my house or neighbourhood, I only see someone I know every month.

We Canadians live the same lives as Americans except that we have ketchup chips, which taste awesome. If you ever come to Canada make sure to try them out. They don't even taste like ketchup to me!

A special thanks to Jennifer Cox and her post about stereotypes because I used the stereotypes from her post and got some ideas! (http://www.craveonline.com/lifestyle/articles/172559-top-10-stereotypes-about-canadians)

STUPID ADS

I HATE ADS.

Who doesn't? I especially hate mobile ads (because it is so easy to accidentally tap on them) and pop up ads because they bug me like crazy! Especially the unsightly ones. Oh yeah! I also hate the ones on youtube before each video. All my browsers have an ad blocker. I don't know about you, but I always accidentally tap on ads when I am using an app on my phone, and then it goes to your browser to load a link that goes to the app store. Then I go back to the app and you start using it again and I accidentally tap an ad again except that this goes to a naughty chat room and I have to immediately delete the tab. I wish there was some law that there should be NO ADS, which of course is impossible because people get paid to put them on their sites and ads and it helps the people who made the ads get good business. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot about television commercials and those little things before each movie at a movie theatre. They seem to go on forever. I really don't mind paper ads and billboards. BUT, if there were one of those college painter ads on a stick stuck in my front yard's grass I would get crazed. Haha that reminds me that one of my neighbours stuck a  "happy birthday, princess" sign in front of some GUY'S (male of course) house. Well, comment to tell me what type of ads you hate the most!

ACTING.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I love acting! I have always wanted to be an actress since I was about... 8, I think. Well, a lot of kids want to be actors because they want to get famous and be RICH, but honestly I really don't care about being famous, I just enjoy acting. Everyone says all the time, you should have be an actress, you have so many facial expressions, you are so funny so you should do acting, ooohhhh you would make a good actress, etc. (I really don't mean to brag or anything) Once, I went to this huge conference called S.T.A.N.D. and I went to this awesome workshop about improv. It was fun and was directed by these two actors. At the end, when we were all leaving, one of the actors said, "You should really consider an acting career because you are really good!" and I was the only person he said it to and there were people from grade 6 to 12 (I was in grade 6 that time). After, of course, all the other kids were yelling out, how about me???? I really want to have an actual acting career but... yeah... of course my family members think thats unrealistic. Recently, I was searching all over the web for acting auditions because I don't have an acting agent, I came upon these websites that show you all the available casting calls in your area and I tried to sign up for them but they all said enter your STATE and they listed all the US states and I was like, seriously? (I'm Canadian by the way) Anyway, I searched up some more websites and I found actorsaccess.com yay! It's really good and it is for all over the world. It has a resume maker, casting calls, notifications for casting calls, headshot stuff and more! Oh, I'm advertising them for free! They should pay me if they ever see this post. Anyway, I'm still waiting for a casting call in my area that is NOT a student film. If there are any of you people looking for talent, for a feature film or something, post it on actorsaccess.com so I can check it out! Thanks!

Heeeeyyyyy! Welcome to my blog!!!

Hey there! I decided to do a new blog because my other blogs are all about art. Ummmm... where to start... I am 11, turning 12 in August and I have A LOT of free time (that is why I do blogging). I used to be a competitive swimmer. I was on a swim team called rapids and we used to have meets and competitions every month. I started doing a lot of swimming after I finished all my swimming levels when I was 7 or 8, but now I don't swim on my swim team because I was a bit stressed with all my school work and I couldn't handle 3 and a half hours of swimming everyday. I love sports, acting, and art (as in visual arts like painting, sketching, and stuff). I love baking too but I'm not a lot to bake anymore because I always leave a big mess :P (I blame it on my artisticness- that is probably not a word but you know what I mean) I play piano, drums, trumpet and a bit of guitar (actually I kind of forgot everything about playing guitars) Well, that is enough about me, how about I talk about this blog? This blog is going to be about STUFF. Anything I can think of, like the weirdest questions. For example: If alphabet soup so famous, why isn't number soup just as well known? and Why are cards (credit cards, gift cards, passes, etc.) rectangle? I might even talk about my favourite songs and stuff (ooohhh.... I am super obsessed with blurred lines) I am definitely going to write about big events like my bday (yay!!!) and stuff.

P.S. Chickun Fingas is meant to be spelt like that cause it sounds sweet (like a bunny! Bunnies are sweet!)
